I’ve been trying a lot of products from AVON lately, since I’m an Independent Sales Representative and everything.  So, I thought I would start to share my thoughts on some of the products.  Today, we are trying AVON Nailwear Pro + Nail Enamel since it is #ManiMonday.

I used AVON Nailwear Pro + Berry Smooth (Item # 433-812) and Real Red (Item # 915-056) (Regular Price: $6.00, Sale Price: $3.49) for my nails.  I have to say that I absolutely love the colors!  They are vibrant and they go on smooth.  It did take a while for them to dry though, which can be a problem if you are prone to messing up your nails before they dry like I am.  But it is definitely worth the final outcome.

I think next time I am going to try their Speed Dry formula (Regular Price: $6.00, Sale Price: $3.49) and see how that works in comparison.

I am also using ANEW Clinical Absolute Even Spot Correcting Hand Cream (Item # 012-364, Regular Price: $17.00, Sale Price: $6.99) to reduce the appearance of dark spots on my hands.  I know you can still see the spots, but they are actually beginning to fade for me.  I’m definitely going to keep using this product as I continue to age.

You may visit our eStore to purchase any of the above products and more.  Remember that all prices are subject to change.

Beauty Blogger 20 Question Tag

I was perusing some blogs and came across this tag, and I figured “Why not?”.  I hope Say Hello To Gorgeous doesn’t mind me stealing the idea from her?

1.Thing you cannot leave the house without

Car Keys and my phone.  Even though I sometimes don’t have service on my phone, I feel the need to have it on me in case there is ever an emergency.

2.Favorite brand of makeup

Well, AVON, of course…

3.Favorite Flowers

Black Roses.

4.Fav clothing stores

I don’t have a particular favorite.  I shop anywhere I can get a good deal, really.

5.Fav perfume

Flor Alegria is currently my favorite.

6.Heels or flats

I love heels, but I haven’t really been wearing them lately.  I’m on my feet too much for it to be practical.

7.Do you make good grades?

When I was in school, I was an excellent student.

8.Fav colors

Technically black is a non-color, so I will say red.

9.Do you drink energy drinks?

10.Do you drink juice?

Orange juice (sometimes with vodka added to it…)

11.Do you like swimming?

Yes and no.  I enjoy it while I’m in a pool, but I’m not really a huge fan of putting on a swimsuit.

12.Do you eat fries with a fork?

Only when they are smothered in chili or barbecue sauce…

13.Whats your fav moisturizer?

Anew Vitale by AVON.

14.Do you want to get married later on in life?

Not really.  I’m kind of set in my ways at this point.  Adding another person would just be complicated.

15.Do you get mad easily?

16.Are you into ghost hunting?

I absolutely love Ghost Adventures and would LOVE to meet Zak Bagans!

17.Any phobias?

Not really.  I am too old for anything to really scare me anymore.

18.Do you bite your nails?

19.Have you ever had a near death experience?

20.Do you drink coffee?

I’m more of a Dr. Pepper fan than a coffee fan, though I do drink coffee occasionally.

So, I hope you liked my tag.  Please feel free to leave your comments below.

Makeup Organization

I’m 40 years old and only started recently really getting into makeup.  Between being an AVON Independent Sales Representative and my good friend being a Counter Manager for Estee Lauder in Bealls my makeup collection has started to expand, though it’s nowhere near some people’s collections.

My mother had this toolbox that was given to her as a gift and that she no longer needed, so I commandeered it and turned it into storage for my growing collection.

Makeup BoxFront View Open

Isn’t it super cute?

The top of it opens up and I use this compartment to store my skin care products as well as other things that were too big to fit into the other compartments.  It’s a mess right now, but I’m hoping to get it more organized in the future.

Skin Care and Miscellaneous

Then the front opens up and reveals three other compartments, the first compartment I use for my eye makeup.

Eye Makeup

The second compartment is for lips:

Lip Makeup

And the third is for the face (foundations, bb creams, blushes, etc.):

Face Makeup

Each compartment has adjustable plastic inserts so you can create spaces anyway you want them.

I love how this is working out for me at the moment and the beauty part is that it is completely portable.
